Cassandra is a model and belly dancer working bi-coastally out of NJ, NYC, WA and AK she is also an avid traveler and is available for bookings throughout the US as well as internationally.

 

As a belly dancer, she specializes in the tribal fusion style and is available both as an instructor (offering private lessons as well as workshops or online classes) and as a performer. She is experienced in using various props as well such as the sword, candle tray, veils etc. Her performances are all improvisational and therefore different and unique every time.

As a dancer she started in elementary school with Celtic Highland and went on to Salsa and then belly dancing while in high school. Cassandra began performing about 15 years ago and has performed at both private events and public venues throughout NJ, NYC and LA. She also went on to produce variety shows at R Bar NYC, Roxy and Dukes NJ and Hell's Kitchen NJ. During her time in college as a dance major, the required classes in anatomy and nutrition gained her interest in using body movement for not just art, but also for health. She went on to get certified as a personal trainer specializing in women's fitness, as well as becoming certified both as a Barre instructor and a Yoga instructor. Now, in addition to teaching belly dance classes she also teaches Barre and Yoga classes as well.

 

She modeled simultaneously starting at the age of 18 during college where she majored in B&W film photography (before changing her major to dance) and began posing for her classmates' projects.

Soon she discovered she enjoyed the other side of the camera and immediately began booking paid work with local artists in the tri-state area. In 2012 she transitioned from being an art model into more glamour, lingerie and retro pinup work. Also, during this time, she began getting published and got her first cover with a UK based indie mag focused on the retro pinup scene. Throughout the years Cassandra went on to host workshops for aspiring models in the tri-state area while continuing to grow as a freelance artist.

Today she has been published in dozens of magazines as well as several coffee table books and featured in artists' work in gallery shows across the county. She has also gone on to expand into background acting/extra work, music video work and non-speaking commercial rolls. In addition, while modeling, she became inspired by the makeup artists who transformed her look and went on to become certified in makeup artistry as well. She worked in the makeup industry for several years as a freelancer, this also made her highly self-sufficient as a model on set, able to provide her own makeup artistry before modeling. She is multi-faceted as a model, booking gigs that include- fashion, commercial, lingerie, body painting, figure modeling, event modeling and more, showcasing both her experience and diversity as a both model and performer.
